Erin has been working with breastfeeding mothers and families for the last 10 years. Her passion is to provide education and support to families to achieve their feeding goals. She came into this field after having many challenges feeding her first son. Erin received mixed messages and information, but no understanding or guidance. Meanwhile, Erin also struggled with postpartum depression. When her son was about 2 months she finally met with a lactation consultant who spent time with her, listened, provided education, support and guidance. She helped Erin understand her challenges. Erin felt heard, empowered, like she had options, and also someone to consistently turn to. Erin left that visit knowing she wanted to be that person for others, she had found her calling. So after being an adult critical care nurse for 8 years, she embarked on the journey to becoming an IBCLC. She had the good fortune to learn and mentor from some of the most talented and well-respected consultants in the Denver area. Erin worked at University Hospital and St Joseph Hospital, and has extensive experience working with moms in the postpartum period, teaching breastfeeding classes, facilitating support groups, and outpatient consultations. Erin understands that breastfeeding is very personal and nuanced. She looks forward to walking alongside you in this season of your life.
